The misuse of medication, medical products, and cosmetic powders
On Tuesday, 19th of October, 1444 H, the Cooperation Club at the Applied College, Abha branch, in collaboration with the Drug Club at the College of Pharmacy, and in partnership with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized a program titled "Misuse of Medication, Medical Products, and Cosmetic Powders." The program was presented by the students of the student activity from both colleges and took place for two hours in the college's conference room.
The program had the participation of 50 students from the Applied College, 4 staff members, and 11 students from the College of Pharmacy, who prepared and executed the program. The attendance exceeded 100 female students from various departments and staff members of the college.
The program aimed to raise awareness about the following topics:
- The concept of medication, methods of administering drugs, the purpose of medication, safe drug use, proper storage of medications, contents of the home pharmacy and how to maintain and use it, essential home first aid tools, 18 important tips for taking medications, risks of long-term misuse of medications, and the most important pharmacies in Abha.
- The concept of cosmetic products, natural skin and hair care methods, ways to identify skin type, how to choose suitable masks for the skin and hair, and the most important quality brands.
- Competitions and gifts were organized for the students as part of the medical cultural program, and prizes were distributed to the distinguished participants.
- Hospitality booths, distributions, and gifts were arranged during the event.
The program was presented by the student activity members from the Cooperation Club and the Drug Club.
- Voluntary hours were added to the records of participating students through the college's volunteer platform.
- Officials from the Student Affairs Office honored the program with their presence.
