Protect your data to protect yourself
On Wednesday, 11/6/1444 AH, the Cooperation Club at the College of Applied Sciences, Abha Branch, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students and the Counseling and Guidance Unit at the college, organized an awareness program titled "Protect Your Data to Protect Yourself."
The program covered the concept of information security from all aspects. It included an introduction to information security, explaining its fundamental concept and objectives. The program also addressed the most prominent risks of information security breaches and their solutions.
Additionally, the program featured a section on social engineering, defining its nature, methods, and risks. Numerous general security tips were provided concerning social media account security, dealing with scams, email security, and important steps to take if one becomes a victim of fraud or receives fraudulent messages.
The program concluded with a competition for the female students, aimed at testing their security awareness. Informative videos on information security, created by the students, were presented, and the topic received great appreciation and participation from everyone, thanks to God.
