Before starting the exam
You must bring your University Campus Card to every exam. You must display the card on your desk as a means of identification. If you do not have your Campus Card, you should bring your ID instead.
During the exam
- If you need to speak to an invigilator for any purpose, you should raise your hand and wait for an invigilator to come to your desk.
- If you wish to leave the room before the end of the exam, whether temporarily to use the toilet or permanently, you must ask the invigilator for permission.
- Please write answers in ink, not pencil.
- No students will be allowed to enter the exam room after 30 minutes from the beginning of any exam.
Instructions for Online Exam
- The exam (both papers based and online) will start and end at appointed times. The online exam usually starts at 3:00 p.m. and is available for 6 hours only.
- The online exam link will be shared on Blackboard (Assignments & Tests) on time and will be closed after 6 hours.
- The online exam duration is one hour and there is only one attempt for the exam. The exam will be submitted automatically after the time expires.
- For the online exam, description and instructions are shown before the exam begins. Test takers should read the description and instructions carefully before they click on ‘Begin’.
- Each question appears one by one in the online exam and it’s not possible to go back to the previous question.
- Questions appear in random order in online exams.
- After submitting the exam, it’s not possible to restart / retake the exam unless there is any valid reason both for paper and online tests.
- In case of any interruption in the online exam, the exam can be saved and resumed at any point until the time expires.
Mobile phones and other valuables
You are notified not to bring valuables to exams. It is not permissible for the candidates to bring mobile phones (even switched off), smart watches or any other similar stuff during the exam. You must not have a mobile phone or smart watch on your person during an exam, even if it is switched off.
- If you are caught with a mobile phone or smart watch anywhere in the exam room (including the toilets) it will be considered cheating. If you enter the exam room with a phone or smart watch, please switch it off and leave it with the invigilator at the front of the room. Remember to cancel any alarms that may ring even if the phone or watch is switched off.
- Check your pockets before you sit down – if you leave your phone in them, even by accident, you will face academic misconduct measures.
