On Wednesday, 3rd of Rajab, 1444 H, the Cooperation Club at the Applied College, Abha Branch, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students and the Guidance and Counseling Unit at the college, organized an awareness program titled "Social Media." The program covered the concept of social media in the form of a diverse exhibition that included:

  • Twitter Program: Introduction and overview, pros and cons of Twitter, informative posters and illustrations, and a video presentation on key influencers on Twitter and how to create an account.
  •  YouTube: Concept, importance, content, founding date, and how to use it, along with video presentations of important and useful websites.
  • Podcasts: Concept, how to create an account, uploading content, podcast experiences, and a presentation on important podcasting platforms, along with informative brochures and distributions.
  • Google: Its origin, important applications, and the benefits of each application, along with informative brochures and distributions.
  • Snapchat: An overview of its launch, how to create an account, and key influencers on the platform.
  • TikTok: An overview of TikTok, its release date, best account recommendations, its benefits and drawbacks, themes, and distributions.
  •  Instagram: Concept, importance, pros, and cons, along with themes.
  • WhatsApp: Introduction to WhatsApp, its history, how to use it, and its beginnings.

The program included tables for each platform, showcasing the work of the students and videos. It was attended by the college director, members, staff, and students, and refreshments were provided for the attendees.
