The Cooperation Club at the Applied College, Abha branch, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, the Guidance and Counseling Unit, and the Volunteer Unit at the college, partnered with the Aoun Association for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts in Asir to organize the program "The Silent Killer - Drugs" under the title "Do not burn yourself to avoid burning others." The program took place from Sunday, 24th of Safar, 1444 H, to Thursday, 28th of Safar, 1444 H.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness among students about the dangers of smoking and drugs. Various activities were carried out to educate the students about the risks associated with drug use, as in the world of drugs, animosities prevail, values decline, and addiction becomes a societal problem that requires vigilance from everyone.

On Sunday: Booths were set up in the college buildings, where posters, brochures, and models were distributed to the students to illustrate the danger and importance of being cautious and vigilant.

On Monday and Tuesday: The campaign continued to educate the students and make them aware of the risks we face. The students were received, and they interacted with the booths.

On Wednesday: The booths were gathered in the theater, and a workshop about drugs and smoking was presented by several psychological specialists from the Aoun Association, including Najood Al-Qahtani and Hanouf Yahya. The workshop covered all aspects of addiction, substance abuse, bad influences, types of drugs, preventive measures, and the care provided by the association for addicts.

On Thursday: The program was implemented at the Girls' Middle School in Ahad Rafidah for the students of the school. The campaign was executed by students and staff from the college, as well as members of the Aoun Association. The students were informed about the seriousness of this issue, its consequences, and damages. It was emphasized how drug abuse affects the body, health, and mental well-being, especially considering that this group of girls is in their teenage years, and they need to be made aware of the dangers of drugs and their outcomes. Many students attended and understood the matter, and their awareness was increased.

Remember: "A pill, an injection, addiction, death - Therefore, think wisely and know that no matter how tough life's instincts are on you, drugs are harsher."
