"MODON" Administration Trip to the Industrial City

On Sunday, 15/6/1444 H, the Cooperation Club at the Applied College, Abha Branch, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized a trip to "MODON" Administration in the Industrial City. 

The trip was part of entrepreneurship activation events, in line with Vision 2030, aiming to create a generation of female industry pioneers. 

The visit aimed to foster entrepreneurial awareness among the students and provide job opportunities for them. The trip included a visit to "MODON" Administration in the Industrial City in Khamis Mushait, where the students learned about the capabilities of the first industrial city in Asir. The city's director, Mr. Ali Al-Zahrani, explained the number of factories and types of industries there, as well as the leasing and ownership mechanisms for the factories, contributions to investors, employment and training procedures, and the relationships between "MODON" and the Chamber of Commerce, human resources, and objectives.

The visit also covered the importance of building a second industrial city and its location, MODON's role in localizing industries in the Kingdom, and the methods of transferring foreign expertise in the industry. Additionally, the role of foreign companies in the city was highlighted.

During the visit, statistical data was presented, reflecting the growing interest in manufacturing and entrepreneurship, and the increase in the number of Saudi female employees in the Kingdom from 23 to 320 up until the moment.
