The Cooperation Club at the Applied College, Abha branch, in partnership with the Tadawi Club at the College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait, and in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized the program "The Gulf Nutrition Week" on Thursday, 28th of Safar, 1444 H.

The program aimed to activate the Gulf Nutrition Week in the conference hall from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the purpose of raising awareness about the importance of nutrition and providing useful tips to the students.

The program started with a segment presented by the college's activity students, titled "Did You Know," which included cultural information about nutrition.

This was followed by a cultural competition about balanced nutrition and dietary elements.

Next, there was an informative workshop by Ms. Asma Al-Qahtani, where she explained the importance of nutrition, factors influencing nutritional needs, the food pyramid, the essential components of food, and the nutrients required by the body. She also discussed different types of vitamins, their benefits, and the various functions of different foods.

The program concluded with health and nutrition competitions, and Ms. Asma provided valuable information and distributed gifts to the winning students.
