University Fifth Council Meeting

Source: KKU - Media Center On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al Solami, chaired the fifth university council, on Thursday, 10th of December, which was held virtually in the presence of the His Excellency the Secretary General of the Council of Universities Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh and the council members. The University Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Vice President of Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, explained that the council discussed a variety of topics, and approved the following: -Restructuring the editorial board for a number of university journals. -Promotion of university employees. -Approving the following 5 fee-paid post graduate programs: Master of Pharmacy Business Administration.  Master of Pharmacy in Cosmetic Science. Master of Science in Herbal Medicine. High education qualification diploma in The Science of Diction.  Diploma in Internal Audit.

University Fourth Council

Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education , His Excellency King Khalid University Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah AlSolami chaired the fourth university council for the academic year 1442Ah , which was held virtually, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and the university council  members. The University  Vice-President for  Academic Affairs and  Acting Secretary for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research,   Acting Secretary of the Council - Prof. Dr. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, explained that the Council discussed a number of topics and took the necessary recommendations regarding them, including the following : -  approval of  admission conditions for the postgraduate programs for the academic year 1443Ah . - approval of  the Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language program, at the Department of English at the College of Languages ​​and Translation. -approval of memorandum of understanding signing , with the international publishing agency  Emerald to develop a number of university journals.

University Council approves the Higher Diploma in Governance

Source: King khaled university _Media Center On behalf of the Minister of Education, His Excellency King Khalid University Rector Prof. Faleh bin Reja Allah Al-Solami chaired the third  online meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1442 AH, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, Secretary General of the University Affairs Council, the University Council members. Prof. Saad bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Amari, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the Council, explained that the council discussed a number of topics and  recommendations; including the recommendation to extend the mandate and loan a number of university employees to external entities,and the recommendation to allocate the donation of the Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Jomaih Charitable Foundation to support students of community colleges at the university instead of supporting the Student Clubs Forum for Saudi Universities because it cannot be held during Corona pandemic, and the Council also recommended approving the approval of the Higher Diploma in Governance Program in the Accounting Department of the College of Business.

University Council Approves Conflict of Interest Policy Regulation for University Employees

The University Vice President of Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, council secretary Prof. Saad bin Abdulrhamn Almary, explained that the council discussed a variety of academic issues and recommended the following: -Accepting donations to support the University endowment. -Approving conflict of Interest policy regulation for university employees. -Approving the appointing  of a new  member to the  permanent committee of  scholarship

Ninth University Council Meeting Held Online

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center On 29 Shawwāl 1441, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy chaired the 9th meeting of the university council online in line with national social distancing measures. The meeting included the participation of University Affairs Secretary-General Council, Dr. Muhammad Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and all members of the council. Opening with praise to Allah, and Allah's Peace and Blessings upon His Final Messenger, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy began the meeting. Following after, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, University Council Secretary, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, reviewed the topics on the council agenda and explained that the Council decided on several issues, including approving the guiding manual to establishing scientific research societies and final exams assessment procedures for the spring 2020 semester in accord with the Ministry of Education's precautionary measures during this period to suspend student attendance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Virus. The Council also decided on the academic calendar for the 1442 AH academic year and approved full-time scientific research conventions for several faculty members. Of note, the Council approved the establishment of the Executive Master's Program in Marketing and E-Commerce at the College of Business and finalized the financial accounts of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education and the General Administration of Investment.

Eighth University Council Meeting Held Online

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center On 2 April 2020, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy chaired the 8th meeting of the university council online in line with national social distancing measures. The meeting included the participation of University Affairs Secretary-General Council, Dr. Muhammad Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and all members of the council. Opening with praise to Allah, and Allah's Peace and Blessings upon His Final Messenger, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy began the meeting. Following after, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, Prof. Saad Alamri, reviewed the topics on the council agenda and the recommendations put forth as follows: Approving the regulations for granting academic honors in the university; Approving the final accounts of Research and Consulting Studies and the University Student Fund for the 2019-20 fiscal year; Restructuring the university's research centers in alignment with modern research trends; Accepting donations to support several student programs at the university; Approving the numbers of student admission numbers for the upcoming year; Approving 7 graduate programs.   Of noteworthy mention, the Scientific Council held its 15th meeting on 31 March 2020 online.

University Holds 6th Annual Council Meeting: Partnerships With Chinese Higher Education Highlighted

 Source:King Khalid University - Media Center      King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, chaired the university's Sixth Council Meeting. In addition to the regular members (Vice Rectors and Deans), the Secretary-General (Interim) for the Committee of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, attended. His Excellency began the meeting by thanking Allah for his blessings and praising the Prophet, peace be upon him. Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, reviewed the meeting agenda. The topics discussed included: Recommendation to approve the proposal to restructure the College of Science and Arts; Recommendation to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between University of Heilongjiang in the People's Republic of China and King Khalid University; Recommendation to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Tianjin University, the first modern higher education institution in the People's Republic of China, and King Khalid University; Review of the 2018-19 Annual Report; Recommendation to amend and approve the academic calendar of the 2019-20 spring semester.

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center  His Excellency  King Khalid University Rector , Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami chaired the fourth meeting of the University Council, in the presence of The Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council  Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh ,The University Vice  Rectors   and The College Deans   . The University Vice Rector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research  the Secretary of The University Council Prof. Dr. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Omari explained  that The Council   has approved a number of recommendations ,  which included  the establishment of the Department of Modern Languages   and  Mining Engineering , as well as  a Scientific journal in  Administrative and Financial Sciences . Furthermore,  the  approval  of an  academic  contract between King Khalid University and the American Educational Company (ELS) , in addition to , a memorandum of understanding between The  Southern Federal University of the Russian  and  King  Khaled University , the  promotion of  university employees ,also  upgrading  The  Guidance Counseling  Unit to   Guidance Counseling  Center  as well as upgrading  The Special Needs  Unit  to The Special Needs Center  and  the approval of the   adoption of  postgraduate programs in rehabilitation the teacher .

University Third Council Updates JSP Program and Establishes University Dental Hospital

Source: King Khalid University - Media Cent King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy chaired the Third University Council on Wednesday. Higher Education Council Interim Committee Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saleh, led the meeting in the presence of university vice rectors and deans.   His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy opened the meeting by thanking Allah the Almighty and praising the Prophet (PBUH). Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary-General of the Council, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, then displayed the agenda and topics of the meeting.   The council came to a number of decisions as follows: Meeting the executive regulations of the Joint Supervision Program (JSP) in postgraduate studies with a number of international universities; Establishing the King Khalid University Dental Hospital that will replace the current dental clinics; Restructuring the Graduate Deanship Council.

University Holds 9th Annual Council Meeting: Recommends a Variety of New Academic Programs

In addition to the regular members (Vice Rectors and Deans), the Secretary-General (Interim) for the Committee of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, attended. His Excellency began the meeting by thanking Allah for his blessings and praising the Prophet; peace be upon him. Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, reviewed the meeting agenda. The topics discussed included: The university final financial account; Establishment of the infrastructure for Academic Guidance; Approval of attendance rules and regulations; Faculty participation in the scientific meetings; Rules and regulation for scientific communications; Executive rules regarding promotions; Rules for faculty member publication; Consideration of applications for promotions to the rank of assistant professor; Consideration of new diploma, undergraduate and graduate curricula in the university system. The Council also recommended the approval of a number of new programs including: PhD in Business Administration, Master of Public Health, Executive Master of Applied Computing, Master of Science in Data Science in Information Systems, Master of Educational Policies, Diploma in Cyber ​​Security, Diploma in Prevention of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Marketing Diploma, and Diploma of Web and Mobile Applications Development.
