Tehama Operation and Maintenance Administration Trains Employees

Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications The Operation and Maintenance Administration at King Khalid University, Tehama branch, held a “ Report System and Service Inquiry “ workshop targeting the branch employees and members. The workshop was delivered by Miss. Rahma Al Saeed, the iT representative and Digital Transformation coordinators at the Tihama branch. The Operation and Maintenance Director at the Tehama branch Mr.  Mutaib Al-Shehri, explained that the session targeted the branch  employees and aimed to grant them  authority to the report system and inquiry services to reduce employee efforts and  speed the delivery of  services. On his part, the Assistant General Supervisor of the University Branch in Tehama for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahman Maree ', thanked  the General Supervisor of the University Branch in Tihama for his support and encouragement.

Tehama Campus Registers More Than 200 COVID-19 Volunteers

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University's Tehama Campus registered 200 University member volunteers in the Health Volunteering Platform. It was within the University's efforts to spread the culture of volunteering. Tehama Campus Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, explained that this contribution is a step in the right direction in terms of fulfilling the health volunteering plan. He noted that it stems from patriotism deeply rooted in the hearts of its people. He pointed out that the volunteers were comprised of faculty members, employees, and health practitioners. He confirmed that this participation is supported and supervised by His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy. He hoped that this would contribute to supporting the national volunteering efforts, in order to succeed in these preventive plans to face this pandemic. The areas of volunteering include health volunteering, awareness, and psychological and social counseling, logistical volunteering, and humanitarian service.

Tehama Campus Launches Health Care Caravan Initiative

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Within the "Goodwill Initiative", the Tehama Campus has launched several health activities entitled "The Health Care Caravan" to raise society's medical awareness. Deputy Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Abdullah bin Hasan Al-Shehri, asserted that these activities come within the Goodwill Initiative in its second version under the patronage of Asir Gov. Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz. "The caravan will provide training courses, seminars, educational leaflets, distribution of sanitizers and masks, and a medical examination service with the participation of specialized medical staff and a group of administrators and technicians," said Dr. Al-Shehri. Dr. Al-Shehri raised his thanks to His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy for his support. He also extended his gratitude to Tehama Campus General Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed bin Atef Al-Shehri.

Tehama Campus Concludes Standardized COVID-19 Transportation Safety Protocols

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The Tehama Campus Technical Affairs Division, represented by the Traffic and Transport Department, concluded the "Safe Driving" course, in cooperation with the Driving and Traffic School in Mohayil. The course aims to implement standardized COVID-19 safety protocols in order to protect both drivers and students onboard. Tehama Campus General Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed bin Atef Al-Shehri, said: "The course aims to develop the driver skills and performance. Student safety is one of the priorities that the university is keen on. We are properly mandating the use of personal protective equipment for self-protection and the protection of others. I praise the cooperation of relevant government agencies in providing everything that contributes to trainees' development." "The safe driving course comes within a group of developmental courses we are offering. Some of those courses cover topics on safety and security administration, movement and transportation, operation and maintenance, first aid, safe driving, and emergency evacuation. I thank the general supervisor and director of the driving school in Muhayel, Professor Mohamed Zayed," said Abdulrahman Moraee. Of note, the Movement and Transportation Department has completed its preparations for the beginning of the academic year. Muhammad Al-Haili, Director of the Movement and Transport Department, said: "Preparations consisted of organizing transportation that includes the application of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in 55 of our buses. By providing sanitizer, panels for spacing distances between the seats, in addition to determining the number of beneficiaries in each bus, we are ensuring that buses are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the end of each run by professionally trained cleaners."

Rector Al-Solamy Visits Tehama Campus

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, visited the Tehama Campus and the College of Science and Arts at Rijal Alma in the third week of the Fall 2020 semester to tour the facilities and meet with a small group of employees, staff, and leadership representatives from each campus. In his remarks, he outlined the scope of advances in recent years, which were implemented by the Operation and Maintenance Department. Those advances included the project to improve the academic environment within the colleges in its second phase, the afforestation project, and the project to improve entrances and the general site. Tehama Campus General Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, thanked His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy for his visit, appreciating the constant support offered to the campus.

Tehama Campus Issues COVID-19 PPE to Faculty and Staff

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center   The Department of Operation and Maintenance at the Tehama Campus delivered cloth masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) to faculty and staff, which is designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Tehama Campus Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, explained that the initiative is a way to adhere to the instructions and precautions against COVID-19, coinciding with the slogan "Return Carefully". He added this initiative is supervised by His Excellency the University President because he prioritizes the health and safety of the university community. This initiative is within the efforts exerted by the Office of Technical Affairs represented by the Department of Operation and Maintenance. Assistant General Supervisor of the Technical Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahman Murea, reiterated that humanity is the most precious and valuable resource for any organization therefore maintaining their health is a top priority. He pointed out that the initiative is part of the efforts made by the Office of Technical Affairs to raise the level of its services. Operation and Maintenance Manager, Mr. Metib Al-Shehri, explained that the initiative is an extension to a series of initiatives implemented by the department, which were supported and directed by the campus supervisor and his assistant for technical affairs.

Tehama Campus Continues to Implement Preventive Measures Against Covid-19

Source:  King Khalid University - Media Center In view of the recent developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Technical Affairs at the Tehama Campus has implemented a contingency plan, which extends to all campuses, in line with the guidelines of national and international health authorities. The contingency plan produced immediate effects on all campuses at King Khalid University. Tehama Campus General Supervisor Assistant, Abdurahman Mureea, explained that the plan was implemented by intensively sterilizing buildings and distributing hand sanitizers to all employees. The task force, under the supervision of Tehama Campus General Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, appointed by His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy, contains measures and recommendations for each individual member of the academic community in order to minimize the transmission risks and the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Services and Maintenance Department Director, Meteb Al-Shehri, added that protective measures were also implemented at maintenance staff housing, noting that guidelines stipulating only two people to a room were adhered to. Also, he noted that all compounds where maintenance staff reside are routinely sterilized with access to frequent temperature checks and medical treatment as needed. Director of Medical Clinics at Tehama, Fayez Issa, explained that the outpatient clinics in Tehama have implemented preventive measures by implementing visual sorting points at the clinic entrance and safe pathways for all the patients. Director of the Security and Safety Department, Mohammed Al-Asimi, confirmed that all entrances are now sorting points where whoever enters is examined for Coronavirus for the safety of all. University Establishes a Number of Diploma Programs

   Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University represented by the Community Service and Continues Education Deanship established a number of Diploma programs  in the colleges of Dahran Al Janub , Rjal Al Maa’a , Muhail , Al Majrdah.  The Dean of the Community Service and Continues Education Deanship Dr. Omar Alwan Ageel explained that all program are available in the university branches  are accredited by the civil service ministry, adding that the deanships seeks through these programs to offer programs that help equip young people to meet the needs of the job market . He noted that the registration will be available online and is open for all candidates.  Its worth noting that the programs include :  Applied Programming,  Office Management, Human Resources Management, the E-Marketing  and  Accounting.

More Than 700 Benefit From Tehama Summer Training Programs

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University continues with its community outreach initiatives in conducting a host of training programs in Tehama. The programs, delivered by faculty members, included a variety of workshops and courses for the public. Nearly 700 people participated in the events.   General Supervisor of the Tehama Campus, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, explained that the workshops and training courses offered are part of the Goodwill Initiative, which was launched by Governor of Asir, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Dean Al-Shehri explained that the university endeavors to make sure that training programs are well-prepared and fully compatible with both present and future demands of the labor market in the Kingdom. Matching human capital to economic development is a fundamental requirement of Vision 2030. Dean Al-Shehri noted that the programs were supervised by King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, and were available to the public-at-large.   The workshops spanned many fields of interest such as:   'How to Prepare Your Resume' by Dr. Siham Mousa Al Haidar; 'Planning the Future' by Dr. Mohammed Al-Mizah; 'How to be Talented?' by Dr. Sulaiman Al-Falaqi; 'The Art of Debating' by Dr. Asma Ebada; 'The Art of Public Communication' by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qaid; 'Self Development and Prioritization' by Dr. Ahmed Al-Khaira; 'Introduction to Contemporary Financial Transactions: Sharia Applications and Controls' by Dr. Hamdi Abdel Hamid; 'The Art of Dealing with Others in the Light of the Holy Quran and Sunnah' by Dr. Kawther Ali; 'The Importance of Family Values and Its Place in Islam' by Dr. Hala Bayoumi; 'The Methods and Strategies of Building Visual Presentations' by Dr. Asma Obada; 'The Importance of Ethics in Society' by Dr. Tahani Nour Al-Hadi; 'The Bright and Dark Aspects of Using Technology in Our Lives" by Dr. Fouad Al-Buraimi; 'Family and society' by Dr. Kawthar Al-Tom.   The university plans to once again visit Tehama to continue its community service efforts and further serve the populace with valuable tools and information for daily life.
