Sponsored by His Royal Highness Closing Ceremony of the Seventh Culture and Health Awareness Program in Bariq

On Wednesday evening His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region, led the closing ceremonies of the 7th Annual Culture and Health Awareness Program in Bariq. This program is one of King Khalid University's community service initiatives. The annual Bariq event was implemented to help improve the health and well-being of residents in the area through health education and awareness. The Culture and Health Awareness program was launched at the beginning of the month of Jumādá Al-Ūlá. The program consists of numerous courses, workshops, and exhibits. These activities and events are led by various healthcare professionals working in government, public health facilities, public schools, and private institutions. 220 King Khalid University employees participated in this year's effort, which included 455 separate events and activities. University Rector Sponsors the Closing of the Electronic Games Production and Development Workshop- KKU Squad Inaugurated

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, recently sponsored the closing ceremony of the 'Electronic Games Production and Development' workshop. The General Directorate of Information Technology (IT) organized the event in conjunction with the Electronic Games Club. The Wadi Makkah Company sponsored the workshop by way of the regional 'Nmou' initiative. Electronic games are of course a very popular source of entertainment in many segments of society. Some people say that video games are nothing more than a frivolous waste of time. These people might argue that a fine institution of higher learning like KKU has no business supporting video game development. Certainly, some of our citizens, mostly young people, spend too much of their time playing video games to the exclusion of more important endeavors. University Rector Receives Small and Medium Enterprises Incubator License

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, received the Small and Medium Enterprises Incubator License from the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. The license was handed to the university rector by Vice Rector of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, in the presence of the Director of the Center for Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mohammad Al-Maghrabi, and a number of university members and employees. It is worth noting that the authority provides licensure opportunities for companies, universities, governmental bodies, associations, and civil institutions. Conferral of the license is conditional pending stipulation agreement. University Rector Meets Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, met with the Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah, Ryan M. Gliha, and his team in the presence of Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Saad Al-Amri.  His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy welcomed Consul General Gliha and his team to King Khalid University. Both sides discussed approaches to enhancing international partnerships between King Khalid University and American universities in the field of culture, science, and research. Fifth Edition of Cultural Olympics Wows Audience Rector Al-Solamy Confers Awards

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, crowned the winners of the Fifth Cultural Olympics. The event slogan, 'It's Not About the Competition, It's About the Student', really captured the conviviality of the activities, which lasted three days under the organization of the Deanship of Student Affairs. His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy confirmed that the university is keen on holding activities that enhance academic performance, thanking the organizing committee for their efforts in support for such activities.more

Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Satam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Meets With Faculty Members at the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Satam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Professor at the Political Legitimacy Department of Supreme Jurisdiction Institute, met with faculty members from the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion and the Department of Law from King Khalid University at the main campus in Abha. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was met by King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, and Dean of the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, Dr. Mohammad Dhafer Al-Shehri. During the meeting, His Royal Highness delivered a lecture where he discussed the relationship between 'Islamic Law' and the 'Basic Law of Governance', stressing that Sharia is the foundation of Kingdom's guiding principles. His Royal Highness also emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aspires through its vision to produce profound Sharia outcomes that meet the development and aspirations of our country. At the end of the meeting, the college displayed the meeting outcomes of the Deans of the Colleges of Sharia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Education Sponsors the Scientific Olympics

Under the  patronage of  His Excellency the Minister of Education  Dr. Hamid bin Mohammad Al Shaik, King Khalid University represented by the deanship  of students affairs hosts the  first student Scientific Olympics for Saudi Universities , which will be held during the 3 and continue till the 7 of the month of Rajab 1440 AH in the university main campus , Greger . And on this occasion the university rector prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al Solami thanked the minter of education Dr. Haimd bn Mohammad Al Shaik for his sponsorship, he also welcomed all participating universities.  Al Solami confirmed that the King Khalid University is keen on hosting scientific and cultural activities which  help provoke the creative  competitive spirit between Saudi Universities with the purpose of motivating creativity and knowledge  Al Solami said: I hope  that we witness an honest competition  and we meet the outcomes we desire “  While on his part the vice rector of the university for academic affairs and the general director of the scientific Olympics  Dr, Saad bin Mohammad Al Dujam explains that hosting the scientific Olympics is a result of the university’s goal in spreading the awareness on the culture of intellect and its importance between students  He said” we call upon every member apart of this competition to invest positively and creatively  in this opportunity and to seek excellence as a goal that can  be achieved.  He followed by adding “ I expect the competition includes  60  judges more than 200 students from different backgrounds and specialties, in addition, the competition will include a tour to the most popular sites in Asir region.  And regarding the fields of the competition the dean of the deanship Dr. Abdullah bin Mansour Al-Aideed of Students Affairs explained, that the completion will include reciting the Holy Quran, the studies of Hadith and Sunnah , the prophet “ PBUH “ biography, the art of presenting , short films ,  Arabic calligraphy, poetry , photography, digital art (design), cultural competitions, short films and community service, the competition will include  individual and group competitions in different areas .

University Inaugurates Virtual Volunteer Forum Governor of Asir Launches Ataa Initiative

His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Asir, inaugurated the Ataa Volunteer Virtual Initiative at a forum held at the Asir Emirate on the 6th of February. The forum was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, was the guest of honor. The purpose of the forum was to discuss volunteering and volunteer projects in Asir. At the commencement of the program, His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude to King Khalid University, the organizers and all of the program participants. He further recognized and thanked the university for its many community service and public outreach programs that run concurrently with university educational and academic functions.more

The total participation in the graduation ceremony of the 20th batch of King Khalid University students

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Khaled and the Director of King Khalid University Dr. Falih Bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami, the University held a graduation ceremony for the 20 students at the Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Sports City in Mahalla. A team from the Community College for Girls in Abha headed by Dr. Munira Abu Hamama organized the hall for mothers of graduates in the presence of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Kholoud Abu Malha and the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hanan Al-Saidi and a number of deans of the faculties of girls and faculty members in the colleges. 1000 people.
