More Than 500 Benefit From Community Service Diploma Programs

 King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship Community Service and Continuing Education conducted a variety of training courses and diploma programs in the 1439-40 academic year.The Deanship offered more than 55 programs this year including: Internet Security, Cybercrime: Challenges and Processes, Effective Communication Skills, Scientific Research Skills, Process Management Engineering, Total Quality Management, Electronic Archiving and Human Resources Management, and Computers in Office Management. The Deanship has also completed six diploma programs including: Applied Programming, Office Management, English, Associate Diploma in Resource Management, and Associate's in Health Management.....more         ا

University Rector Inaugurates 'Be part of It' Integrity Initiative

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, is pleased to announce a new program called the 'Be Part of It' initiative. This new student organization is a collaboration of the Anaya student club from the College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait and the Nazaha club from the Deanship of Student Affairs at Greger. The purpose is to encourage integrity and honesty in each individual's academic, professional and personal affairs. The inauguration ceremony opened with a reading from the Holy Qur'an, followed by an explanation from the club leader Raed Al Qahtani on the goals, and strategies to achieve higher levels of honesty and integrity in society. In the Rector's opening remarks, he commended the organizing members of the initiative as well as those who chose to join the effort. He urged all students to follow a virtuous path of unwavering integrity in every aspect of life. The Rector commented on the importance of the new initiative in helping people avoid succumbing to the unholy temptations of deception and deceit. Later the organizers presented a short video introducing the new initiative and further explaining the club's history, objectives and strategic plan. The initiative is active online with links to the university's main website. Students are being encouraged to participate via text messages. At the end of the ceremony, the organizers thanked the Rector for his patronage and presented him with a commemorative plaque.....MORE

University Rector Inaugurates Drug Awareness Campaign

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, inaugurated a new drug prevention program known as 'We are Against It' on Friday evening at the Rashid Mall. The campaign was organized by the medical college student club in collaboration with the Student Guidance Unit of the General Directorate for Drug Control in the Asir region. After conducting the ribbon cutting ceremony, His Excellency toured the program exhibition with the organizers and participants. There were many exhibits providing useful information on the inherent dangers of drug use and the perils of addiction. There was also information available on drug treatment programs. In addition, the General Directorate for Drug Control had a staff psychiatrist at the event who gave people advice on methods to quit smoking....MORE

King Khalid University Rector Sponsors Ahad Rafidah Forum: The Role of Assessment in Learning Outcomes

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, hosted a forum titled 'The Role of Assessments in Learning Outcomes'. The forum was organized by the College of Arts and Sciences in Ahad Rafidah. The purpose of the forum was to explore the various ways in which evaluation and assessment influences learning outcomes in higher education. The program also discusses the obstacles and challenges that occur in the test and evaluation process. His Excellency focused his presentation on the importance of using assessments and evaluations to improve learning outcomes in academic programs. He noted that the Ministry of Education is also examining this issue to help improve education throughout the Kingdom. The Ministry and King Khalid University are acutely aware that higher education is an integral component of the national development and economic expansion plans. Therefore, continuous improvement of universities is a high priority at many levels. Governor of Asir Sponsors Research and Development Conference

The Deanship of Scientific Research is hosting a conference 'The Impact of Research and Development Initiatives on Research in Saudi Universities and Economic Development' conference from 20 to 21 Rajab 1440H (27 to 28 March 2019). The conference was organized under the tutelage of His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region. The purpose of the conference is to discuss strategies for using enhanced scientific research methods and advanced technology for national development initiatives under Vision 2030 and its appendant documents. The Rector first thanked His Royal Highness for his patronage of the conference and continued support for King Khalid University. He then thanked all of the organizers and participants who made the conference possible. The Rector stated that 'a primary goal of the conference is to establish partnerships and exchange programs with other experts in a variety of scientific disciplines. The University Rector and Colleagues Congratulate the 21st Graduating Class

His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region, will preside over the university graduation ceremony next Monday. This will be the 21stgraduating class of King Khalid University in which 13,450 students will receive their respective degrees. The ceremony will be held at the Prince Sultan Sports City facility in Mahala.  King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, is looking forward to joining His Royal Highness in celebrating our students' accomplishments. Rector Al-Solamy has, on behalf of the entire university community, offered his advance congratulations to everyone in the graduating class for a job well done. The Rector acknowledged that attending university is not easy. Of course, getting a degree requires discipline, commitment and a lot of work. There are also many challenges, frustrations, and occasional setbacks. His Excellency commended all of the soon to be graduates for their perseverance in the face of difficulties great and small. His Excellency King Khalid University rector prof Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami sponsored the closing of the first Cultural Olympiad for Saudi Universities held in King Khalid university between the 3rd and to the 7th of Rajab 1440 Ah.  In the beginning, of the ceremony, his excellency watches a visual film that introduced the idea behind the establishment of Olympiads and the competitions that were held, in addition to the objectives, views, and aspirations of participants in different universities and areas of their participation. His Excellency expressed in his speech  his deep welcomes to the representatives and participants, he also thanked them for their participation, hoping that these olympiads have achieved the desired goals, noting that the university like any other national university works towards adopting national talents, explaining that King Khalid with” Allah’s will  “ has had the honor to hold this event which is considered an intellectual gathering of national talents....more

University Electronic Game Club Holds Electronic Games Tournament

The iT administration in King Khalid university represented by the electronic game club held the university electronic game tournament on the 4-6 of Rajab 1440, which included an estimate of 100 competitions,  and the participation of 256 players. The tournament included 16  Fifa19 teams and Overwatch competitors in the university main theater in Greger campus..... more

University to Hold First Saudi University Knowledge Olympics Under the Patronage of the Minister of Education

By the direction and consent of the Minister of Education, His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, King Khalid University will host the first Knowledge Olympics for Saudi Universities. The Deanship of Student Affairs is spearheading the event organization. The Knowledge Olympics will take place at the main campus from the 4th until the 7th of Rajab 1440. At the announcement ceremony, King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, thanked the Minister of Education for his tutelage and confidence in King Khalid University to ensure that the Knowledge Olympics are successful. The Rector then formally invited all other Saudi universities to participate in the competition. Rector Al-Solamy then noted that 'King Khalid University is proud to sponsor the Knowledge Olympics.
