University Announces Graduate Admission Dates

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University's Deanship of Graduate Studies announced the available programs for the second stage of admissions in the 1442 AH academic year. Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Fayea, explained that the electronic portal for admission will be open 10/10/1441 and close on 24/10/1441. Dean Al-Fayea added that 34 programs, accommodating more than 1,550 students in 10 of the university’s colleges, will open admissions. He mentioned that grants are not required for fee-based programs available to citizens and residents.

Deanship of Graduate Studies Admits Students Into 85 Programs

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmad Alfayea, announced that the Deanship of Graduate Studies is keen to cooperate with colleges and departments to launch new programs and enlarge the acceptance's absorptive capacity. Dean Alfayea noted that this includes reconsidering the conditions of admission to programs. Dean Alfayea then highlighted that admission procedures for the 2020/21 academic year is complete, with 707 students receiving full-ride scholarships and 1,000 students accepted into tuition-based programs. Of the 85 programs — which included diplomas — 19 are new. In terms of being more inclusive, the acceptance for female students in the systemic program (masters) witnessed a 12% increase. Dean Alfayea noted that admission procedures were completed after the conditions were approved by the relevant departments and colleges and the University Council. Dean Alfayea explained that applicant admission was audited electronically before the differentiation stage, which is in accord with criteria approved by the relevant councils. In line with COVID-19 preventative measures, all applicants were informed of their results via text message. Of note, the Deanship of Graduate Studies launched several new programs and diploma courses that serve to position graduates with skills relevant to labor market requirements. Those new programs and diploma courses include: Family Counseling Program; Drugs Prevention and Psychotropic Substances Program; Cybersecurity Program; Educational Policies MA; Autism Disorder MA; Arabic Language MA; Media MA; Crisis Communication MA; Tourism Media MA; Renewable Energy and Environment MA.

The investigation reveals the integrity of the University procedures

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center An investigation directed by the governor of Aeer region revealed that, a misunderstanding and appreciation of the student, Zahra Al-Qahtani, against the Vice-Rector t of KKU for Higher Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad Alamri and the Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Faee ', resulting in her complaint of injustice, in the first executive meeting to develop the special-needs  field, where she said: ' She is a woman with special-needs and she was prevented from being a professor at the university despite her excellency in the master's degree'. The investigation showed the university and its employees' honesty, as they dealt with the student’s request according to the rules and regulations admission to postgraduate studies and academic positions. Prince Turki bin Talal ordered holding a meeting between the student and her father and the university professors. the two professors waived the legal claim against the student, so they preferred to deal with claim friendly and educationally, as appreciation to the student situation, and adherence to the educational principles. Emirate Of Aseer Province confirmed that every citizen has the full right to ask for his claim, listen to it and work on it, at the same time, stressing on the necessary to provide an evidence to prove the allegation and verify its authenticity, and whoever proves that his claim is malicious will be treated legally. In light of this, the Emirate values the professors ways in dealing with this the situation.

University Graduate Programs admission

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Graduate Studies at King Khalid University announced the dates of the first phase of Graduate Studies programs admission. It will be available through the Portal (click here), and it will start from Sunday 3/5/1441 AH until 20/5/1441 AH., in more than 50 Master’s and Doctorial programs for estimate 1000 students in 9 colleges (Shariah and Fundamentals of Religion College, Education College, Humanities College, Science College, Business College, Language and Translation College, Engineering College, Computer Science College and Applied Medical Science College) in Abha.  The Dean of Graduate Studies at King Khalid University, Dr. Ahmad Yahya Faye, explained that the admission procedures will be completed in cooperation with the scientific colleges and departments according to an approved implementation and time plan. Faye Stressed the necessity of reviewing the announced admission requirements for all those wishing to enrol in these programs (click here). He also, noted that the second phase of admission, which will be announced in Sha’aban month, will be for free-paid graduate programs.

Admission Dates to 49 Graduate Programs

  The Deanship of Graduate Studies at King Khalid University is pleased to announce the admission dates for 49 graduate-level programs for the 1441 AH academic year. It will begin on the 14th of Jumādā Al-Awwal and close on the 27th of Jumādā Al-Awwal.   On his part, Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Faye, explained that qualified applicants would have access to 13 doctoral programs and 36 master's degree programs.   Doctoral programs will include but are not limited to:   Islamic Law; Sunnah; Fundamentals of Jurisprudence; Contemporary Schools of Thought; Quran Sciences; Education Management and Supervision; Curriculum and General Teaching Methods; Science Curriculum and Teaching Methods; Islamic Teaching Methods; Psychological Counseling; Literature; Linguistics.   Master's degree programs will include but are not limited to:   Islamic Law; Islamic Education; Guidance Counseling; Special Education; Education; Curricula; Science Curriculum and Teaching Methods; Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence; Visual Communication; Learning Disabilities; Education Techniques; Literature; Linguistics; History; Geography; Media, Communication, and Journalism; Crisis Mangement; Tourism; Chemistry; Physics; Mathematics; Biology; Accounting; Chemical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Clinical Laboratory Sciences; Computer Science; Information Systems; Computer Engineering.   For more information and admission details, Dean Al-Faye called on the prospective candidates to visit both the university website and the Deanship of Graduate Studies Deanship website.
