University Announces Transfer Dates for the Academic Year 1442Ah

Source: King Khalid University, Media Center King Khalid University Admission Deanship, announced the opening of internal and external second semester academic transfer, for the year 1442Ah, through the university “Academia “system.  The Dean of the Deanship of Admission Dr. Abdul Mohsen bin Eid Al-Qarni, said that the deanship is to start receiving inquiries for internal transfer starting on the 20th of Jumada Al-Awwal and will continue to the 25th of Jumada Al-Awwal. As for the external and Bachelor to Diploma  treansfer Al-Qarni, explained that the Deanship will start receiving inquiries on the 1st of Jumada Al- Awwal and will continue to the 25th of the same month , while admission for the supplementary bachelor program for graduates of community colleges at King Khalid University (upgrade of the bachelor’s degree for diploma graduates from King Khalid University) starts on the 1st of Jumada Al-Awwal and will continue to the 29th of Jummada Al-Awwal. Deanship of Admissions and Registration Cooperates With Saudi Post to Deliver Graduation Certificates

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University recently signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Post to deliver graduation certificates and academic records to students. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, explained that this agreement comes within the university's keenness to limit the spread of COVID-19 responding to the Ministry of Health instructions. Dean Algarni added that the Deanship prepared the academic system to deal with the national address, and the Saudi Post will deliver certificates and academic records to graduates in their homes. They were noting that 9,000 consignments will be sent to the beneficiaries. Dean Algarni calls students to quickly establish a national address through the Saudi Post website and add it to academic records through the "Academia" portal to avoid any delays in the delivery of their certificates.

Deanship of Admissions and Registration Announces Academic Schedule Management Dates

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Khalid University is pleased to announce the dates and mechanisms for managing academic schedules (delete, add, and visitor) for the fall 2020 semester. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, emphasized the necessity of commitment on the announced dates and taking advantage of the electronic services available via Academia. Dean Algarni pointed out that his team has created a service allowing the deletion/addition of courses this semester for special cases. Student schedules will be published on the 27th Dhu al-Hijjah, while deletion and addition will be available through Academia, including visitors (internal visitor) starting from the 28th of Dhu al-Hijjah to the 4th of Muharram. Deletion and addition will be available for graduates through the Academia portal on the 28th and 29th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Deletion and addition will be available through the communication service from the 4th to the 7th of Muharram. Postponement will also be available from the 20th of Dhu al-Hijjah to the 17th Muharram. Re-enrollment will be available from the 20th of Dhu al-Hijjah until the 17th of Muharram. Deanship of Admissions and Registration Launches New E-Service System

Source King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at King Khalid University completed student schedules after the admission of more than 12,000. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, explained that his team was eager to spread awareness among freshmen students. They were introduced to their academic and non-academic rights and duties. First-year students were also introduced to the array of electronic services available to them. Dean Algarni confirmed that his team's role is not limited to admission and registration only; they also prepared several programs for freshmen students. He explained programs such as the "Electronic Forum" — which targets all students, including freshmen — aims to introduce the pertinent rules and regulations. The program "Academic Counseling", he noted, aims to counsel students on their academic levels, facilitate communication with academic counselors, and work on the causes of undesired levels of academic performance. Dean Algarni also spoke about the new IBAN service, which streamlines the process of receiving monetary awards.

Admissions Offers on Track to Enroll 12,000 More KKU Students

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center  The Deanship of Admissions and Registration announced today (July 22) that some 12,000 incoming King Khalid University freshmen were offered a spot for fall 2020 on at least one of KKU's undergraduate campuses. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, welcomed the talented group of applicants to the university and confirmed admissions data also show an uptick in acceptance. Commenting on the electronic procedures, Dean Algarni related that his team has responded to 4,000 emails, 10,000 WhatsApp messages, and more than 2,000 phone calls. "To ensure the safety of all, we will receive all applicant inquiries online," he said. Nomination ratios of admission for this year in each of the university's majors are available by clicking (here). Dean Al-Qarni added that his team is diligently working to take applicants off of the waitlist through the immediate admission service. The immediate admission service allows students with a request number to see the vacant seats and apply. Also, he noted that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration will provide a service to change the chosen major before the beginning of the semester. Of note, the two services will be available from 2 Dhu al-Hijjah until 18 Dhu al-Hijjah.

Bridging Program Exams to Start Soon

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center  The Deanship of Admissions and Registration is pleased to announce the preparation, execution regulations, and student admission conditions for students in the Bridging Year Program (BYP). The purpose of the Bridging Year Program is to prepare students who hold a diploma from a community college to pursue a Bachelor's Degree at King Khalid University. Students who pass the BYP can then study the last two years of participating colleges and graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from the University. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, explained that the Deanship specified, in coordination with colleges, the dates and places of the examination for Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, and Computer Science. Graduate and Doctoral Admissions Period Extended

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Due to increased demand, His Excellency King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy directed the extension of the admission period to graduate and doctoral programs. The online-only admission period is extended until Tuesday 2-11-1441 AH. Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Fayea, explained that the Deanship would make admission available for those who couldn’t apply earlier or couldn’t take the necessary exams such as Post-Graduate General Aptitude Test and Standardized Test For English Proficiency due to the current circumstances. Internal Transfer Results Announced

Source:King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at King Khalid University announced the results of internal transfer between different majors. The Deanship received more than 2,800 requests which were electronically analyzed and sorted. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, explained that more than 40% of the requests were approved. He confirmed the Deanship's fairness and transparency in transfer procedures in accord with strict guidelines. Some of those guidelines call for the highest GPA and the number of available seats set by the departments, guaranteeing the rights of all applicants. Dean Algarni confirmed the Deanship's eagerness in serving everyone online through Academia and Tawasul. He pointed out that visiting the Deanship would not be possible during this period in line with national social distancing measures. Summer Term Admission Dates

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Admissions and Registration announced the mechanisms and dates for admission to summer 2020 courses, noting that all activities will only be offered online. For those who are expected to graduate in the summer and visiting students, registration will be available to those with 12 hours or less from the 28th to the 30th of Shaʿbān through Academia and Tawasol. Registration will be open to students with more than 12 hours required to graduate from the 1st to the 4th of Ramadan for KKU students and from the 3rd to the 7th for visiting students. Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, explained that the summer term would begin on Sunday the 8th of Shawwāl and end on the 2nd of Dhu al-Hijjah. He confirmed that graduate students are allowed to register for up to 12 hours. As for other students, the maximum would be 10 hours.
