University Takes Part in the Community Service Colleges GCC Meeting

Source: King Khalid University, Media Center King Khalid University participated in the 24th  GCC “Community service Deanships and colleges committee  meeting , which was hosted  by Taibah University virtually.  The university also participated in the 36th National  meeting for the Deans of the Community service deanships committee on Wednesday and which was under the patronage of His Excellency Taibah University President Prof. Abdulaziz Alserani under the slogan “Sustainable development and prosperous society. It's worth noting that Prof Omar Alwan Agheel represented King Khalid University in the meeting.

Community Service Unit Held a Meeting in Tuhamat Qahtan.

Source: KKU - Media Center King Khalid University, represented by, Community Service Unit in Tuhamat Qahtan, organized a meeting entitled "The Nature and Impact of Establishing Community Peace in Tuhamat Qahtan."  in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in Sarat Abidah, on Monday, the 7th of December. The meeting was patronized by Sarat Abidah Mayor Mohammed bin Jazwa, and was attended by a number of representatives, heads of centers, and heads of government agencies at Tuhamat Qahtan. Three topics were covered during the meeting, including a brief overview about the nature of the Committee, represented by Prof. Abdulaziz bin Saeed Al-Hajri, the General Secretary of Establishing Community Peace Committee at the emirate of Aseer province. On his part, Head of Jurisprudence Principles, Dr. Mohammad bin Motab Al-Kardum, talked about the legitimate purposes of establishing community peace, while Prof. Abdullah Al Cassi, discussed the educational behaviors related to the topic. The meeting was concluded by honoring all the participants and attendees, memorial pictures were also taken on this occasion. On his part, The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science in Sarat Abidah, Prof. Mohammad bin Metab Kurdim, thanked His Royal Highness the governer of Aseer region, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, for his efforts in establishing community peace, he also thanked His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof, Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solami, for his support. It's worth noting, that His Excellency the University President, issued recently a decision to establish a Community Service Unit in Tuhamat Qahtan, which is affiliated with the Collage of Science and Arts in Sarat Abeida. The decision is a response to the region’s Council recommendation to establish cultural centers to invest the energies of young people in the area, it's also part of KKU's contribution towards serving the community.

Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education Organizes Administrative Skills Course

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at King Khalid University, within the "Mobaderoon" initiative, organized an online training course entitled "Developing Administrative Work Skills". Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof.Omar Alwan Aqeel, explained that the course is tailored to the community and will be held for two days on the 6th and 7th of Ḏū al-Qaʿdah for 3 hours from 7-10 pm. The course aims to equip participants with all of the necessary practical knowledge needed to fulfill administrative functions effectively and contribute to the growth of the organization. The university is offering 17 E- training courses in various disciplines

Source: King Khaled University_ Media Center King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, is offering  17 free online training courses during the first semester of the academic year 1442 AH, Which targets to all members of society, and aims to develop their knowledge and personal skills. Prof. Omar Alwan Aqil, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship, says :” these training programs are presented by a group of specialized academics in cooperation with the university colleges through the e-learning system, and he noting that the Deanship aims to serve all society groups based on its societal responsibility in developing society, in addition to developing its members and building thier society ethics and knowledge and  focusing in the necessary skills to build the personality of the individual, develop himself and strengthen his skills. Aqeel indicated that the courses will cover many scientific and practical fields, such as the creative cloud in teaching methods, crisis management and family priority setting, time management, total quality management, Entrepreneurship and E-marketing, meeting engineering, the five S strategies to improve the work environment, how to write a CV, determining the career path, leadership skills, leading change, strategic planning, an introduction to programming using the Matlab program, and geographic information systems, in addition to some courses in engineering.  For registration and more information (click here).

A Community Service Unit in Tuhamat Qahtan

Source: King Khalid University_ Media Center His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, issued recently an administrative decision, to establish a Community Service Unit in Tuhamat Qahtan. The Unit is affiliated with the Collage of Science and Arts in Sarat Abeida. This decision is a response to the region’s Council recommendation to establish cultural centers to invest the energies of young people in the area. The Unit works according to the regulations of the Deanship of Community Service and Continues Learning at the University. The University aims according to its strategic plan to develop the society’s capabilities and institutions with innovative solutions and specific programs with tangible positive impact on all society levels.

The Theory of everything

Within the activities of the Community Service Committee, a presentation event was held to show "The Theory of everything". It is worth mentioning that the film won five International Oscar Academy Awards. the film is a biography of the physicist Stephen Hawkins. During the event, there were a number of activities to enhance listening, speaking and writing skills in the English language. Where Dr. Heba Shirah presented it with a number of faculty members.

King Khalid University Scouts Team Takes Part in Serving the Guests of the Holy Mosque

King Khalid University - Media Center   The King Khalid University Scouts Team, Jawalaa, participated in the service of pilgrim camps in Mecca during Ramadan 1440 AH. The university scouts consisted of two groups and 27 members.   On the occasion, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Aideed, explained that the participation of the university's scouts team is in coordination with the Saudi Scout Association, which aims to help organize and manage crowds during the Ramadan. The team's participation lasted for 17 days and was preceded by the Deanship's training and preparation through a number of programs and courses.   King Khalid University is always keen to take part in the annual service of the pilgrim camps as part of the objectives community service and noble public contributions. The university will continue to strive to meet its community roles as one of the leading educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

More Than 500 Benefit From Community Service Diploma Programs

 King Khalid University - Media Center The Deanship Community Service and Continuing Education conducted a variety of training courses and diploma programs in the 1439-40 academic year.The Deanship offered more than 55 programs this year including: Internet Security, Cybercrime: Challenges and Processes, Effective Communication Skills, Scientific Research Skills, Process Management Engineering, Total Quality Management, Electronic Archiving and Human Resources Management, and Computers in Office Management. The Deanship has also completed six diploma programs including: Applied Programming, Office Management, English, Associate Diploma in Resource Management, and Associate's in Health Management.....more         ا

Community Service and Continuous Education Deanship Workshops Engage Nearly 400

The number of beneficiaries from King Khalid University Community Service and Continuous Education Deanship workshops reached an estimated 378 participants. The workshops included skill based and developmental workshops that tackled topics like "The Skills Needed for Emergency Management", "How to Maintain Work Stress", and "Negative Behavior Correction in Children and Effective Investment in Social Media". The Dean of Community Service and Continuous Education, Dr. Omar Bin Alwan Aqeel, stressed that the participants demonstrated dedication, focus, teamwork, and commitment. He explained that programs of this nature aim to achieve the Deanship's strategic plan and objectives in serving the community which is in accord with the mission of the University. Moreover, the mentioned programs were developed in line with the Kingdom's 2030 vision to develop society and its institutions through innovative solutions and quality programs that spark long-lasting positive effects. Dean Aqeel further related that the Deanship seeks to improve the effectiveness of services provided to the community through establishing and supporting training centers within each faculty to train and develop members of the society. In doing so, community partnerships will be formed alongside our core value and culture of giving back to the community. It is worth mentioning that these training programs come within a series of professional quality programs that the Deanship aims to provide to all segments of society to identify societal obstacles and the solutions to managing them. The Deanship is keen to ensure the thriving spirit of service at KKU fosters a balanced community and positive attitudes that are longstanding. Volunteerism is a cornerstone on all campuses, and it will lead to an increase in productivity while reducing stress, mitigating negative behaviors, and creating the conditions necessary for creativity to thrive.

International Day of Disabled People

Girls’ Community College organized an activity of an international day of disabled children at Disabled Children Association in Asir. The manager of public relations at the association and 55 children attended this activity. This activity was part of the community service activities that the college held regularly. The activity included a PowerPoint presentation in which the disabled children were introduced to the audience, some games, which are suitable for children’s case, and some songs where the children took part in performing them. At the end of the activity, there was face painting, gift, and games for the disabled children.
