In cooperation with Asir Green Association, Athar Club at Girls’ Community College launched a voluntary initiative under the title of “Tree is a symbol of contribution and development” in the College Park on Sunday 19/6/1440 H. The event started with the presence of the Dean of the College Dr. Munira Abu Hamama and Dr. Fatima Shaaban, the Vice President of Female Student Affairs. One of the students delivered a speech where she welcomed the audience and talked about the importance of the tree in the national transformation program 2020, which includes the importance of vegetation cover in preserving the environment through planting a million trees during the next period. It is one of the objectives of Vision 2030 to diversify the sources of economy. Plants have many positive benefits, including air purification and comfort to consider and provide human energy. With the help of students, the Dean of the College and the Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs began to plant the first seedlings, which numbered 100 seedlings. There was an interaction of many female students with effectiveness who were about 159 students and a number of faculty members and employees.
