Afaq Releases a Special Issue : The 6th Anniversary of Pledge Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications King Khalid University, represented by Afaq news paper released a special issue on the occasion of the 6th Anniversary of  Pledge  of Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz “ may Allah protect him “. To view the issue “click here“ On the occasion, His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, explained that the university was  keen on releasing  the issue, stressing that the 6th  anniversary of the pledge of allegiance, come in time where the whole world recognizes the  great  achievements and accomplishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the  reign of His Royal  Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud “ may Allah protect you”. On his part, the general supervisor of Afaq newspaper Dr. Ali Al Zuhair Al-Qahtani, explained that the newspaper released issue, to highlight the most prominent achievements of His Royal Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques  King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as conveying the feelings of the university members in this special occasion. Al-Qahtani, also pointed that Afaq news paper  pays great attention to all national events and achievements, adding that the success of Afaq as a university newspaper reached the level of success it is at , under the guidance and vision of His Excellency the University President.

Assigning Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani General Supervisor of "Afaq" Newspaper at KKU University

Source: King Khalid University media center His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Professor Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, issued  decision assigning Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Zuhair Al-Qahtani as  general supervisor of the university newspaper "Afaq". Dr. Al-Qahtani expressed his appreciation to His Excellency’s decision and trust,  hoping that he would provide what contributes to the newspaper's development and achieve ambition, praising the newspaper's achievements during the past period as one of the most important newspapers and media publications in Saudi universities. It’s worth noting that  Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani is an assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication at the College of Human Sciences, and holds a doctorate degree in communication and mass media from Howard University in Washington DC In the United States of America as well as having  a history of  experience in the field of media, and has previously held many tasks in this field.

Afaq Newspaper Publishes Special Edition on E-Learning

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center At the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester, the King Khalid University Afaq Newspaper launched a special edition featuring the E-Learning efforts of King Khalid University and several ministries. His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, said: "We are excited to launch this special edition at the beginning of the academic year. Expect to read about the initiatives and programs that were delivered by the Ministry of Education and King Khalid University. These initiatives were critical to continuing the progress of the educational process during the COVID-19 pandemic. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Afaq Newspaper team for their hard work." Rector Al-Solamy then noted that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact educational systems worldwide, leading to school, university, and college closures. With that being said, Rector Al-Solamy highlighted the upside in that this was an opportunity to review and strengthen online training capacity. He then asserted that Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, was and is instrumental in directing public education institutions to invest their technical and administrative capabilities to ensure the continuity of the educational process. Afaq Newspaper General Supervisor, Prof. Ali Al-Qarni, said: "The newspaper focused on e-learning to keep up with the transformations that the educational community in the Kingdom." Prof. Al-Qarni also emphasized the newspaper's interest in national topics, highlighting that the university press at King Khalid University reached this level of success because of the Rector's guidance and King Khalid University's interaction with the community.
