The Media and Communication Department at the Collage of Humanities in King Khalid University, organized a number of programs and training courses on Media on the Summer break. These programs benefitted more than 6 thousand people from Saudi Arabia and other countries around the world.
The Head of the Media and Communication Department Prof. Ali bin Shweil Al-Qarni, was proud of the attendance. He praised the interaction with the programs organized by the Department as a part of “Mobaderon”.
Al-Qarni explained, the training courses and programs include a program entitled “The Role of Public Relations in Crisis Managing”. It was delivered by Ms. Enas Al Kadam a lecturer at the Department. Another program was entitled “Managing corporate accounts on Twitter” which was delivered by the Director of the Administration of Media and Communication Ms. Sarah Al-Qahtani. And another program delivered by Mr. Muhammad Harisi, a lecturer at the Department, entitled “Social Media Content Industry”.
The Supervisor of the Female Media and Communication Department Ms. Sarah Jabir Al-Sulami, explained that organizing such training programs is a responsibility towards the society. An aspect the University was eager to fulfill since the beginning of the crisis through “Mobaderon”.
Al-Sulami added, these specific Media related programs are one of the most important tools to develop professional skills. They also provide an opportunity to learn new information in the the vital media fields which have been addressed by experienced specialized academics.
Al-Sulami pointed implementing these programs is a result to the efforts of the Department and the support of of His Excellency the University President Prof. Falleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, and the Head of the Media and Communication Department Prof. Ali bin Shweil Al-Qarni. All tese efforts aim to develop the media practice.
