The university president opens the exhibition accompanying the prototype development camp tomorrow

the president of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh Rajaa Allah Al-Salami, will sponsor the exhibition accompanying the activities of the "Prototype Development Camp" on Monday at the central stands. As part of the camp programs organized by the University Centre for Talent, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in cooperation with Monshaat. During the period from 28 Safar to the 5th of Rabe Alawal, at the headquarters of the Faculty of Science, King Abdullah Road, for men and women.

The camp targets the university students and graduates, as well as residents of Asir who have entrepreneurial ideas and who want to start business in the commercial fields.

The Director of the Centre for Talent, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University, Dr. Mohammed Bin Khammash Al-Maghrabi, assure that the establishment of the camp comes in line with the "Vision of the Kingdom 2030" and its objectives. which included supporting entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises. that will raise their contribution to the GDP. also to work to achieve the vision of the university in the society service . To enhance its developmental role in promoting the knowledge economy and transforming research, innovation and investment ideas into economic products.

Al-Maghrabi pointed out that the camp aims to create rising companies originating from the university by providing opportunities for pioneering practical application.  As well as graduation projects commercialization. Also to create a pioneering environment that encourages knowledge exchange and provides an opportunity for university students and employees to convert their ideas and projects to raising companies. He adds that the first stage of the camp  is the personal stage, where  participants can  identify their leading personalities. In the entrepreneurial stage, where they can identify the basics of entrepreneurship and developing the prototype . The third stage includes learning the basics of effective management to help entrepreneurs in the process of establishment and growth.

It is worth mentioning that the camp will include the participation of 55 entrepreneurs over a period of 6 weeks, two days each week. The participant will be able to have both scientific and field knowledge. The participants can see how community need the project throughout the week except training days, in order to ensure maturity and success. The project will also conclude its activities by providing a "Demo" in which the participants will present their projects and the winning projects will be evaluated and honoured.

Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University represented by the Center of talent, creativity and entrepreneurship conclude, yesterday, the camp devoted to developing the initial model for entrepreneurs. The camp was recently established in collaboration with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. It was attended by the University Vice-Rector business and knowledge economy Dr. Abdullatef Al-Hudaithi, in the University’s main campus in Abha.  The entrepreneurial opportunities which were concluded from the camp were presented at the closing ceremony. Ten entrepreneurial contributions were presented. During the meeting was a meeting with a number of distinguished entrepreneurs.  Al-Hudaithi expressed in his speech at the beginning of the ceremony that the University is glad to host this camp. The collaboration with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises is also appreciated. This project was based on the shared vision of serving the community and enhancing the University's developmental role. To create an environment that motivates creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. To also support creative projects and turn them into economic products. He pointed that this camp comes in accordance with the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030.  He also expressed his gratitude to Hie excellency the University vise rector for his support and eagerness to accelerate the development of knowledge; Offering the necessary tools in the field of entrepreneurship. He also thanked all those who made this camp a success. Especially the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Center of Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at the University and all those who contributed to the success of this camp.  At the end of the ceremony, the entrepreneurs, the winners in the competitions, the organizers, and participants were honored. 
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University's Media Center organized a training workshop for the International Scholarship Students entitled 'Basics to Preparing News Content in Multimedia'. The workshop was delivered by Media and Communication Department Lecturer Laasan Campus, Mr. Mohammad Shami. The workshop, which was attended by 65 students, included various topics about the news and its importance. Based on his field experience, Mr. Shami explained how newspapers deal with various events around the world in general and in the Islamic and Arab worlds in particular, highlighting the need to train on how to prepare press material. At the end of the workshop, Media Center General Supervisor, Dr. Mufleh Al-Qahtani, honored Mr. Shami and praised the content of the workshop. He also thanked the General Scholarship Student Administration for their cooperation. The workshop is part of a series of training workshops organized by the King Khalid University Media Center for those who are interested in journalism and media.  
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University represented by the Mathematics department in the Faculty of Science organized the second international mathematics and implications conference. A selection of specialists from all over the world participated in that Conference. The conference would be held on the twenty second and twenty third of Jummada II 1441_ seventeenth and eighteenth of February 2020.  The Dean of the Scientific Faculty Prof. Ali Al-shati expressed that this conference comes as an extinction to the first mathematics and implications international conference which was held last year. That conference shed light on the latest research in the field of mathematics. It also aims to encourage researchers and mathematic specialists faculty members to promote scientific research through meetings and exchanging ideas with other researchers. They would also benefit from the experience of prominent international scientists in identifying the priorities needed in conducting a scientific research. The president of the Scientific Committee of the Conference Dr. Ali Al-kaldi pointed that the Committee received a lot of participations that were judge and around 80 were accepted. The accepted ones vary from lectures and scientific posters. A workshop will be conducted for statistic specialists in collaboration with the Saudi Association Statistical Sciences. 
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, supported the event held by the Faculty of Medicine on Tuesday morning. The Creativity and Medical Club started a campaign to acknowledge the importance of stem cell donation in association with the Saudi Stem Cells Donor Registry (SSCDR). His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy was also introduced to the objectives event and was provided with a brief description of the importance of stem cell donation awareness. SSCDR's procedures were highlighted by explaining that if a possible stem cell donor is found in the database to be a good match for a recipient, steps are taken to teach the donor about the transplant process and make sure he or she is making an informed decision. It was further highlighted that people who might benefit from stem cell therapies include those with spinal cord injuries, type 1 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, stroke, burns, cancer and osteoarthritis. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Sulaiman Al-Humaid, also confirmed the importance of Stem Cell Donations and the necessity of societal awareness. He noted that such awareness is accomplished by intensifying campaigns in this field. Of noteworthy mention, this campaign comes as an extension of the previous event held in summer 2019 that lasted for 3 days in different locations around the region.  
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University recently adopted more than 85 syllabi for new programs spanning all of the academic degree fields. This effort is the result of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, launching of the 'Wakeb' initiative. Wakeb aims to implement 100 individual academic programs for various degrees. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad Du'ajim, explained that the initiative represents a great leap forward in expanding educational opportunities throughout the university system. He further noted that in addition to the new syllabi, the teams evaluated and revised many existing curriculum plans. The Vice Rector stated that they are considerable improvements in Arabic language, English Language and Islamic Culture programs.
