His Royal Highness Commends the Efforts of the Second National Olympiad for Orphans

Governor of Asir, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, commended the efforts of the Second National Olympiad for Orphans Committee. The event was organized by the Ab'aa orphan association in Asir in collaboration with King Khalid University. His Royal Highness met with Director of the Ab'aa Association in Asir, and General Supervisor of the Olympics, Dr. Saad Al Amr, where he thanked the organizing committee for their efforts in achieving success and contributing to the development of the talents and skills of orphans.

On his part, Director Al-Amr briefly introduced the Olympiad programs, activities and goals, pointing out that the association was keen to hold activities during the summer season. At the end of the meeting, His Royal Highness signed the Olympiad banner and congratulated the efforts of the organizing committee of the Second National Olympiad for Orphans.

Of noteworthy mention, the Organizing Committee also hosted General Director of Public Education in Asir, Saad Al-Jouni, who honored the winners of the third day. Al-Jouni also crowned the table tennis champions. Yousef Al-Qawsi from the Sons of Jubail Association received gold, Faisal Al-Tuwaijri received silver, Arkan Al-Shamiri received bronze, Omar Al-Rashidi came in fourth place.

Source:King Khalid University - Media Center Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, King Abdulaziz University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Obaid Al Youbi, and King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Shariah and Fundamentals of Religion and the Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation at King Abdulaziz University was signed. The agreement aims to show the true picture of the Saudi moderate approach and its applications throughout Saudi history, enhancing the citizen's sense of belonging to the country, and increasing societal awareness and culture on thoughts harming its very existence and stability like extremism and fanaticism. Dean of Shariah College, Prof. Mohammed Dhafer Al-Shehri, represented King Khalid University while Dr. Al-Hassan Yahya Al-Munakhara represented the institute. The agreement calls for several joint programs, awareness-raising media campaigns, meetings between the two parties to share studies and research, sporting events, training programs, and specialized joint workshops.

In the events, Prof.Abomelha Noting the importance of encouraging students to adopt all kinds of thinking and empowering talented students in various fields and Promoting the values ​​and responsibilities in the students manners , also providing them with life skills. Prof.Abu Malha raised her thanks to His Excellency Rector of King Khaled University Faleh Al- Solami and Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs Prof.Saad bin Dejim and Dean of Students Affairs Deanship Dr.Abdullah Aledaid and Vice Dean of Female Students Affairs Dr. Fatimah Shaban, for their permanent care and support for these events which taking the university students to advanced level and to Encouraging and motivating them. Dr. Fatimah shaban explaining that this forum is an extension to the success that seen in the first edition last year; Noting that this type of activity is a qualitative transfer in the activities of female students to contribute in supporting the academic process and achieve the required outcomes to the labor market based on the university directions . She pointed also, that This forum aims to encourage and support talented students to show their creation in various fields, such: providing them with life skills based on the Six Thinking Hats theory (objectivity, critically, creativity, Organized, positivity emotionally) , in addition to Folklore performance and the meanings of peace, coexistence, and acceptance of the other that it carries, as well as the fashion show organized by a group of talented students in fashion designing and coordinating that suit different occasions with a modern identity that express reality, also the Six Fitness (Lessons in the Art of Life) courses that implemented with a elite of university professors. In addition to workshops and meetings to acquire various life skills to include the spiritual, intellectual, psychological, social, health and financial aspects
Source:King Khalid University - Media Center The University represented in the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning and the Tuhamma Branch, announced the registration in a number of certified training courses which are implemented by the Deanship for the second semester 1441 AH. These courses are for both male and female students, in cooperation with many university colleges. The Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning Dr. Omar Alwan Aqeel, explain that the number of courses in this semester reached 45, thirteen of which was for male students and another thirteen were for female. The courses at the Tuhamma Branch were 19. He pointed that the courses are varied and include different aspects of life. They all aim to develop the Community and qualify the beneficiaries in different Professional fields required by the Labour Market. Aqeel confirmed that these courses will be given by experienced qualified academic trainers and they end with certified certificates.
Source:king Khalid University - Media and Communication Center The Occupational Safety and Health Administration executed a chemical leakage hypothesis from one of the Boys College of Science laboratories, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Department and a number of relevant authorities in Asi.    The hypothesis was executed in a way that resembles a real accident. In order to test preparation in case of any incidents since the location is highly-risky. As well as checking how prepared the other participating agencies are. The hypothesis included evacuation, rescue, first-aid, clearance and restoration procedures.    The execution of this hypothesis started with the Science College Dean informing the Civil Rescue Department that there has been a hypothesized chemical leakage from one of the labs. A fire has started and there is a need for evacuation; all the security and government agencies has to be informed. Firefighting, rescue and ambulance teams has to head to the accident site fully equipped.    The Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Jamil Ali Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the college labs were immediately evacuated. The Administration’s safety officials evacuated around 300 students and employees from the First and Ground floors. This execution included HNS incidents Rapid Interference Team, firefighting, rescue and evacuation teams. He pointed that the evacuation plans which are implemented frequently in all the colleges aim to apply the highest safety standards to protect lives and properties.    Al-Qahtani expressed his gratitude to the Civil Defense Emergency Force in Asir and the General Administration of Civil Defense in Abha  who participated with more than 30 officers. He praised the cooperation all security and government agencies involved in the execution of this hypothesis. He also thanked the Science College Student Club. 
Source:King Khaled University - Media Centre This Monday, KKU Intellectual Awareness Unit In cooperation with the College of Arts and Sciences in Mahayil holding the first meeting of the Awareness rising Program "Soft Power in the Digital Media" for  the Shura Council and security expert, Dr. Fayez bin Abdullah Al-Shehri Deputy Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the male's Colleges and University branches, Dr. Misfer bin Ahmed Al-Wadei explained that the meeting will addresses the concept of soft power and its importance and the Digital media and its role in rooting citizenship through woman. Al-Wadei added, The unit launched a number of meaningful educational programs and initiatives to build a balanced and moderate intellectual awareness in order to meet 2030 saudi vision,  under His Excellency  support KKU Rector Al-Solami. The unit will also hold a number of meetings in partnership with many educational and military sectors.
